SHORT SUMMARY
I’m just a young guy who’s a big fan of anything video game related. I love to work on video games, I love to play them, but what I love the most, is how they can form communities of people with the same love of video games. So I find it really sad when people like my girlfriend who has photosensitivity can’t play around 80% of the games available on the market or risk getting a seizure. I’ve met a lot of people with physical and visual disabilities such as dyslexia and color blindness who also had their gaming experience reduced to an unnecessary challenge because people too often don’t think about them while making their games.
In the last few years, accessibility has come to the stage with games such as the Last of Us 2 and Forza Horizon 5, but it seems as if the only ones who really push for accessibility are AAA. With Nôrdika, we wanted to prove that you could make a game which offers good accessibility options even if you're just a small indie team of just 5 people and work on a game for 1 year.
My goal in life is to sensibilise more people to try and make their come accessible even if just a little, because to us it might seem like a minor inconvenience, but for those players, it means the world.
